I don’t think I’ve ever shared my favorite song here. This is Layla by Derek & The Dominos from 1970. Eric Clapton wrote this song. The title comes from the Arabic story Layla and Majnun (Layla’s Mad Lover) most famously adapted into a poem in the year 1188. The songs content is about Clapton’s love of Patty Boyd, the then wife of Beatle George Harrison.
This song is a classic, and that piano coda at the outro is amazing.
Song runtime: 7:04
No i didn’t varispeed the song, it was recorded a bit sharp. If you want the song in standard tuning (less authentic) press SHIFT+down arrow while listening.
