Just wondering. I guess I have a record collection now, was wondering if anyone else on here has delved into physical media collecting. Here’s a snipit of a couple of my better mastered records.
Yes I need a cleaner.

I do, I have most of his classics.
-
Do you have any Billy Joel records?
-
That’s bad.
-
and when my perrents saw the lp60?, they accused me of beating it up despite not being able to play my newest record at the time, weekend warriers by ted nugent
-
Oh wow!
-
And that is the only thing I’ll complain about my LP120X was the packaging. Firstly, Amazon used the retail box as the shipping container which isn’t good when you swear the UPS guy for your area punts packages onto the truck. Because of the lack of good packaging on Amazon’s part and how AudioTechnica puts stuff in the boxes, I have a big ass crack in the dust cover spanning most of the width of the player. It works fine though so I wasn’t gonna attempt a return/replacement, especially since a replacement would likely have the same damage.
-
That’s a damn shame, I wonder why? I’ve never seen that happen before. I know there’s some assembley required, nothing like my LP120X though which is a bit more complicated, but its just installing the dust cover and the platter.
-
that’s the thing, I got an atlp60, but it fell apart when I took it out of the box
-
And as for the Victrola players… yeah, they aren’t made the best, that’s for sure. If you have the space for a tabletop unit, I’d recommend saving up and getting an AudioTechnica AT-LP60X, two-speed unit with a built-in preamp, fully automatic, sounds really good for the price. There was a luggable unit in the Victrola/Crosley formfactor that was similar in spec to an LP60X, the MPK TT270, VWestLife on YouTube did a video about it, but it was seemingly discontinued, sad.

Nice. I have a song I will send to you Xander on a Pm if you don’t mind.
-
About GUns N’ Roses, back around 2020 I bought a reissue of Apetite for Destruction, I wish I still had it, but my mother’s cats she had at the time pissed on everything. At least I still have the MP3s that came with that modern reissue. I need to get another copy.
-

-
Nice. I have a song I’m going to send you on Pm, you can tell me if you recognize it.
-
yes, but they arn’t built verry good, because I had the first one for about 6 months, before baby please don’t go sounded not like music, and about 6 months lator on another victrola player?, its doing a similar thing, but this time, every record I put on, zager and evans?, check, manfred mans angel station?, check, ted nugent?, check
-
Man, that is so not fair! I wish they didn’t call you a lyer! I never owned a record player like that before. I don’t know if they are still around any more. The victrola players.
-
this happened to the first one, and they called me a lyer, and I always try to explane that victrola record players arn’t built to last, but mom plays the I’v had mine for longer and it still works card, but she played less records in 10 years than I do in 6 months
-
Darn it! Thave you tryed telling them that it wasn’t you who broke it? I’m truely sorry for you on this.
-
and my perrents will accuse me of breaking it, in my case its playing multiple songs and parts of songs at once
-
Wow! I’m sorry your record player stoped working.
-
and my zager and evans record just came in the male, accept, a couple days ago, my record player quit working, I sware the universe hates me and ern-kna is the only thing keeping me a tiny bit sane
-

I know, it gets on my nerves to, speaking of, I am also into steve miller pre joker, back when it all sounded like a mix between blues and psycodelic rock
-
Nice. I’ve never really explored the bluesy side of Steve Miller. But Greatest Hits 74-78 has some issues.
Firstly, if you’re gonna include Fly Like an Eagle, you need Space Intro.
Secondly, they do include Treshold before Jet Air Liner, but they use the single mix of Jet Air Liner, why? And I get it, side length on records or tapes is limiited, but still why?
-
that reminds me, called the tape shop crying on the phone for book of dreams, and they only had greatest hits 74-78, got it on a german first tape pressing, and the person who picked it up for me also got steve millers living in the twentieth century, his lator bluesy stuff
-
I’ve got Fly Like an Eagle and Greatest Hits 1974-1978, still need Book of Dreams though.
-
Very nice. I’ve got everything from Benny Goodman to Wu-Tang. I had maybe about 30-40 records before I took on the good stuff from my late father’s collection, and now I’ve got nearly 130 of them. I need to get multiple crates or something because this got out of hand rapidly.
-
oh shit, you have fly like an egol? I have that to, then again, big steve miller fan
-
yup, I have a shit ton of records, everything from kiss to tod rundgren, and zager and evans on transet
